Cats & Kittens

Ross
Ross

Ross was a feral kitten rescued near Highway 52 outside La Broquerie. He was easy to socialize and is a very curious, brave, fun little guy. He loves to hang out while his foster humans have baths, and he's become quite a snuggle bug! Ross loves other cats, and is great with children, but hasn't met any dogs yet.

Wally
Wally

Wally is a sweet and friendly boy who was very happy to be rescued off the streets and taken indoors. He is new to SAAR and we are just getting to know him, but from what we've seen so far he is a true gentleman and a very lovely cat. He’s very very friendly and likes to be where the humans are!

Jude
Jude

Jude is a very sweet boy who gets along well with the other cats in his foster home. He came into rescue as a very scared feral kitten. His foster family has been working with him to gain his trust. He has improved a lot since coming into rescue and would do well in a quiet home with maybe another cat to play with.

Hailey
Hailey

Hailey was a feral young mom safely trapped in Kleefeld. She has spent over two months in foster care being socialized, and has made great progress. Hailey will now allow pets and scritches when she's eating, and is more relaxed around her foster humans. She seems to want attention but is still just a bit on guard. We feel that she would be suitable as a barn or shop cat, unless adopted to an indoor home with an owner who has experience with formerly feral cats and will be patient with her.

During his time as a stray he caught FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), so he must be an indoor only cat from now on, or live with cats that also have FIV. This beautiful long haired boy will make a great addition to your household!

Dogs & Puppies

Luna
Luna

Luna is a sweet girl who is now available for adoption! She loves to bring you her toys and play, especially a good game of fetch! Luna has a lot of energy, and can be described as a “large puppy”! She will need a strong handler, but she is extremely gentle, curious and alert. Inside she will sit around and play with her toys, and outside she loves to run around! She has dogs and cats in her foster home that she gets along with.

Angus
Angus

Angus absolutely loves to chew on anything he can get his little teeth on, although no toy is as much fun as logs of firewood or sticks that he pulls out of the bush! As energetic and mischievous as he can be, he is also a very sweet little boy that is happy to cuddle on your lap provided you give him lots of butt scritches. He would do well in a home that is dedicated to teaching him some more manners and that will allow him lots of opportunity to run around throughout the day.

Daisy
Daisy

Daisy is an amazing dog! She has shown us that she has very good recall and is a fast learner. Daisy will need to be adopted by someone with good knowledge of dogs, Daisy is good with other dogs, but when they are new to her we recommend a muzzle. She is not mean, just nervous. Daisy is good with cats and doesn't seem to bother or mind them at all. Daisy loves to play tug of war with the other dogs in her foster home!
